My boyfriend & I were best friends for years before we got together. I was hopelessly in love for years but he was still getting over his ex at the time so I decided I needed to move on. I used tinder for a bit, met some nice guys on there, one of which lives very close to me but I wasn’t interested in a relationship with him but enjoyed his company (something I made very clear). After a while, he stopped talking to me and I realised he wasn’t interested in being friends with me if it wasn’t going to be anything more than that, which is fair enough. Once or twice he started a conversation again with me, only to ghost me after me repeating I only wanted to remain friends. This went on even after my boyfriend and I started dating.
Once or twice, I have seen him whilst I have been driving so I know he didn’t see me. The other day however, I saw him in a shop as I was leaving, we made eye contact but didn’t say anything. At this point, we haven’t spoken in about 7/8 months so there was nothing to say.
My co-worker recently lost their job and we are good friends so he has been updating me about his job search. He knew my boyfriend well and they get on great.
He’s looking at accepting a job at the same place the tinder guy works. I can’t really tell my co worker about the situation but I can’t help but feel extremely anxious at the thought of them both realising they have me in common and it somehow getting back to my bf who I haven’t explained the situation to :(
