Just need some help please.

So I’m trying to gain weight and I’ve been told that I should stay away from cardio work outs but the inf is I’m trying to run track for my school and I’m very great at running and I hones,t y feel I could get a scholarship or could have if I started in my freshman year of high school but the thing is I’m embarrassingly underweight and only recently has it started to bother me but idk if I should focus on getting bigger or running. Also I’m not even sure which one is more important now to me. Any advice?

You can do both(: try to consume more lean protines (lots of chicken, fish, eggs, many nuts, etc.) and as well as running try to also do strength workouts more often get into a weight room and lift or do push-ups and sit-ups and leg lifts and other body resistance exercises running will not prevent you from gaining weight if you just gain lean muscle

Definitely try to do more yoga instead of a lot of cardio. This way you are still keeping a fit body, but you aren’t doing too much cardio! As far as food try to eat more protein and more fatty foods
